Joe Avati 20th Anniversary

On Saturday night we all braved the wind and the rain to see one of comedies greatest Joe Avati!

Joe has been making us laugh out loud for 20 years now and over the weekend he entertained approximately 1900 die hard fans. People of all ages and backgrounds were in fits of laughter as he performed his material old and new.

Its hard not to attend one of his shows and not want to hear your favourite jokes!!
Audiences had the freedom to message Joe prior (via Social Media) and make their ‘requests’. This made the show interactive in a way, and by the sounds of the laughter the crowds left happy and satisfied.

Joe has been a firm fixture on our Australian comedy circuit and I look forward to seeing him everytime!
This year he was supported by Zaccaria Concerts
Did you know his shows are completely ‘swear word free’ leaving only room for real comedy The whole family can feel comfortable watching the show and its suitable for ages 12+

The Unbelievables @ Crown Perth

Last Friday I was lucky enough to attend the Opening Night of The Unbelievables at Crown Theatre Perth.

This show had me laughing and kept me entertained right the way through.

Last year I saw The Illusionists by the same producers and this year they have outdone themselves with this blockbuster! I was not disappointed.

Once again Harrison Greenbaum headed up the talented cast with his comedy and wit. (he is my fave)

Matt Hale Hypnotist

Tuesday night was the Launch of Matt Hale’s show, Mindfoolness. It was the first time Matt Hale performed in Elizabeth Palace in the beautiful Elizabeth Quay in Perth.

He asked volunteers to step up to participate in the show and it amazed me how fast people fought to get a position on the stage.

Matt makes it clear that it’s not his job to make a fool of people and throughout the show he respectfully entertains the audience while carefully guiding his volunteers through their hypnotism.

The volunteers happily partake in certain scenarios for our entertainment including enjoying a roller coaster ride!

I took my two daughters and even they were amused ! They wanted me to go up. But this Perth Mum is too scared !! Maybe next year Matt.

Make sure you visit Fringe World and get yr tickets to see Matt Hale now !

Gold Class Whitford City 2017

Tonight I got to view the new dining & entertainment precinct at Whitford City Shopping Centre. It includes 10 new restaurants and a brand new Event Cinemas. We were treated to Mango Bellinis and got to sample delicious food from the Gold Class Menu including pulled pork sliders , salt n pepper squid, pizzas, and spring rolls. Then it was off to Gold Class Cinema where we viewed “The last living boy in New York” starring Pierce Brosnan and Kate Beckinsall. It took a while to grasp my attention but in the end it won me over with an unassuming finish ! Just when we thought the food service had ended we were then treated to an indulgent chocolate sundae 😋 yum !
Whitford City has definitely upped its game, you must check it out 😘

Friends Restaurant Events

A little while ago I attended Friends Restaurant (underneath the Hyatt Regency, Terrace Rd Perth) to watch one of my FAVOURITE bands, Thirsty Merc !

What a great way to watch a band. A restaurant may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of listening to your favourite music, but let me tell you its a nice intimate setting, the acoustics are great and you feel like you are up close and personal. Not to mention you get a beautiful 3 course meal, sharing the experience with a small crowd of no more than 100 people.

Clyde and Lesley Bevan with their experience in the industry offer attention to detail and a standard of service that is perfectly matched to the fine dining experience you receive at one of Perth’s longest standing award winning restaurants.

Here are some videos from the night…. Excuse the unproffessional camera work… I had to stop myself from dancing !

I hope this gives you an idea of the feel and the ambience on the night …

If you want to check out what is on offer this year at Friends… click on their website

If your lucky enought you might even get to grab a photo with your favourite act.

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Whiskey 2015

What seemed like a normal Tuesday night, transformed into a magical mystery tour.

About 35 lucky people were transported in buses to one of the most gorgeous locations in WA to learn from one of Australias finest and most educated ambassadors from Jack Daniel’s.

Yanchep Cave was the perfect setting for a long table dinner perfectly matched with Whiskey based cocktails. The purpose of the evening was to educate and enlighten people in the processes of Single Barrel.

45 mins out from the hustle of Perth’s CBD provided the most serene location for this event.

We started the night with the whiskey in its ‘neat’ state, it certainly warmed everyone up and allowed them to appreciate the true flavours.

We then learnt a bit about the man himself, would you believe Jack Daniels was the first person to actually put whiskey in a bottle and a square one at that!

The Single Barrel whiskey is set aside to mature in the highest levels of the barrelhouses where it undergoes dramatic temperature changes, causing its colour and taste to deepen. Notes of toasted oak, vanilla and caramel can be detected. Having an exquisite table set with dried fruits n spices and woods really helped trigger the senses as we indulged enjoying a sumptuous 3 course meal matched with extravagant cocktails.

Trivial Facts:

Frank Sinatra approached Jack and offered to be the brand’s ambassador in return for a good supply of course.

Did you know you can actually buy a barrel of whiskey? At approximately $25000 this could be a talking piece in anyone’s bar and will provide about 260 bottles.
