On Thursday night I attended the release of the new bar and cocktail menu at Rockpool Perth.
A small handful of us got to Sample some of the new dishes on the bar menu.
and as Perth does not have the famous Spice Temple restaurant, we have adopted the spicy fried chicken wings off their menu, this is a Sichuan inspired dish where the wings are coated in Sichuan pepper and salt and fried till golden brown and tossed with chilies.
We washed our food down with Sample’s of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages prepared for us by Dan Ambrose The bar supervisor at Rockpool Perth and Ryan Gavin The bar manager for Rockpool in Sydney
Let me tell you the non-alcoholic beverages as were just as tasty if not tastier than the cocktails themselves!
The new cocktail list features names such as Salvatori’s Cure All, Bourbon & Blood , Negroni Rojo Grand, Black and Smoke Margarita and Canadian in New York.
My favourite was the Salvatori’s cure all a ginger beer based cocktail.
It was nice to see that they put as much work into their non-alcoholic drinks as they do in their cocktails
Non-alcoholic beverages included the house made lemonade which was extremely refreshing and with a hint of ginger, and my new favourite the pineapple ginger and soda perfect choices for diners who are not drinking.
